Intercourse after Hysterectomy??

I will be 6 weeks post-op tomorrow and I have my final follow up with my Doctor on October 21st. While I miss being intimate with my husband, I'm also very scared and aprehensive! How do I conquer my fears? I'm worried about pain, dryness, EVERYTHING!

It's almost the same feeling of "the first time"!

First of all it's very normal to feel this way. Take things slow, have a few sessions of outer course before going for the whole enchiladaand have lube on hand in case you think you'll need it.

I still had spotting at 6 weeks and saw my dr at 8 weeks, he gave me the go ahead without checking me so I was VERY nervous. I made sure my husband knew to go slow and gently and everything was more than fine. I'm sure for awhile I'll be super careful anyway though.

First take a deep breath. We had sex the day after I was cleared so 6 weeks and 1 day. It was fine. Make sure you're relaxed, make sure he goes slow and not to deep or rough for a little while. If your concerned about dryness, get a lube like k.y. We went slow and he didn't go deep and trust me it was great. i even orgasmed the first try out. The main thing is to relax. Also a side effect to surgery I didn't know was my husband said my vagina felt tighter which he said was a fantastic feeling. If something hurts, stop and wait to your ready to try again. it will be ok. Again, buy some lube, go slow, and enjoy the feeling.
