Feeling so much better at 6 weeks post hysterectomy with estrogen (kept ovaries)

Hello,

I had my TAH April 28th and went back to work part time after 2 weeks. With hindsight that was a mistake but I didn't have the choice because I run a small company and one of my jobs is sales, so if I don't sell, no one gets paid. In the 3rd week I got really bad allergies and stayed in bed for 3 days. In the 4th week I had to drive 4 hours total to pick my daughter up from the airport, that almost did me in : major nausea and a migraine after that for 2 days. Then I had to perform at the end of the week (I'm also a musician ...) that was tiring too.
Last week I say my Doctor who felt I looked tired ("ya think?") ... Of course I'm tired!
However, she said that now that my uterus is out I can take estrogen without a lot of risk.... So I started using the Estradiol gel 4 days ago and, it's a miracle, my energy is back and I feel about 300% better.

I also got an UP bracelet to track sleeping, walking and the way I eat which helps me to set and reach my daily goals

Hugs to my other HysterSisters

You still had major surgery and should slow down a bit. You don't want to end up taking too many steps back.
Take some time for yourself!

Absolutely ! I don't drink or smoke and I don't go out much besides my concerts so I spend the weekend and evenings relaxing and doing nothing.
Thank you

Thanks for your post! I Love your energy!! Sometimes we have to do what we have to do. I am also back at work - I went back 7 days post of from a LAVH. I run my own company and work from home. I had no choice but I did it! Not
full time of course but enough to keep it ticking over. Glad your feeling awesome!!
