5 weeks post hysterectomy: The Telletubbie look....

I am on week 5 after a complete TAH. My stomach was very flat before surgery but not now. The doctor said it won't be flat again but I may want lipo after at least 6 months. Very disappointing

I am in my 5week. I look pregnant. I too sm hoping this swelling goes down. hang in there your not alone on this. Im hoping I dont have to buy bigger clothes to go back to work but losing hope on that fast

I have some skirts with elastic waist that will work. I am disappointed. I always had a flat stomach as I exercised since I was in my early 30s. Now with the surgery my doctor said it will not go back like it was and I may want to consider lipo after 6 months if it still bothers me. I think doctors need to come up with a procedure that leaves us flatter. We deserve a perk after all this!

Swelling around the stomach can go on for a few months. Now if it is true swelling you have, lipo would be pointless, wait until 6 months post op.
There is a difference between swelling due to surgery and fat!
