1.5 weeks post hysterectomy - constant bleeding and UTI

I am a week and half post and I have been miserable!!! I started bleeding a week ago and have not stopped. This is like a period bleed or sometimes heavier I called my dr as soon as it happened she said it's ok as long as you don't soak a pad front to back in an hour. Well everywhere I have read says no not normal??? Anyone else do this? Also have a horrible UTI.

I'm sorry you're having a rough time. From what I've read and seen here, pretty much as long as you're not soaking a pad an hour it is considered 'normal' on the bleeding. I know it can be distressing, I was very distressed in the first couple weeks of my recovery because everything was really a haze and I was doing it alone, but the ladies here are absolutely awesome.

Honestly, if you feel like something's wrong, go to the e.r. Your better off playing it safe. Hang in there!
