Pathology Report???

Hi everyone,
I have a question....My pathology report came back, but I was wandering can I get a copy of this? Wasn't sure if I should ask my dr. Do they normally let you have copies of this.

Absolutely you can have a copy of your pathology report. Either get it from the doc, or if not available from him/her you can get it from the medical records dept. in the hosp. The hosp. usually has a small charge (per page) for your records though, and the doc would probably run you a copy for free. I have asked for, and gotten all of my results from the doc with no problem.

When I went in for my first post-op visit I just asked the doctor for a copy of it...he had it in my records. He was very agreeable. Even thought much of it was written in "doctor speak", it was assuring to read the part that said "no malignancy found".
