SAH Kidney Stone or just back pain after hysterectomy?

I've been having back pain mainly concentrated on lower left side. I have always suffered with back issues but after the surgery I had relief until the last couple of weeks. My mom seems to think its a possible kidney stone from all the meds I take (HRT,bp, ad,cholesterol,pain meds, migraine). Is it just the hysterectomy or should I just get it checked out?

I have back pain too especially after I've been more active during the day. You have to remember your insides are healing and the muscles are sewn back together trying to heal. If you feel worries call the doctor. Good luck

Thank you Angelina! Just got in from the doctor's office and no kidney infection was detected! Yay! Thank God but my back pain is back with a vengeance. I'm being scheduled to get an MRI soon. I've always had back issues but thought the hysterectomy relieved some of that.. Guess not but it could be worse, right?! Thanks again! Take care!

I had the same problem just last week! I was one week post-op, and I started feeling sharp pain in my lower right side. After a day, it was so bad that I couldn't take a deep breath without feeling the pain. I thought I had a kidney infection based on the location. I couldn't reach my doctor over the weekend so I ended up at urgent care. The doctor said my muscles in that area were extremely tight from all the manipulation during the surgery. She prescribed Motrin (prescription strength as it contains an inflammatory) and a muscle relaxer. After two days, the pain was nearly gone, and I felt a million times better.

Get it checked anyway, but it's probably due to the healing and having to lie down for long periods of time.
