3 weeks post hysterectomy - uncomfortable legs?

Hi Ladies,
I'm 3weeks out and I've been walking my neighborhood with my husband. The only thing is that my legs feel like I'm getting Charlie horses and they throb a little,it's very uncomfortable. Even when I'm not walking they just get this uncomfortable feeling. I wanted to know is this normal and if so what can I take or do for this?
Thanks

Re: 3 weeks out

Hi, put a call into your dr & ask. Restless leg syndrome? Idk, but your dr can better point you in the right direction. Feel better!

Re: 3 weeks out

This is *probably* not what's going on, but just in case, because it's better to be safe than sorry, I would suggest calling your doc and asking about the possibility of blood clots in your legs.

I agree, a call to the dr can ease your mind. Feel better!

Re: 3 weeks post hysterectomy - uncomfortable legs?

I had restless legs something terrible for about a month. OMG thought I would go insane. I did have swelling in one ankle and Dr immediately scheduled an ultrasound for a clot but none was found thank goodness. They did find a lymphocele in my right groin. But what has bugged me since surgery is leg pain at the very top of both of my thighs. Feels like overworked muscles. I dunno what my surgeon did while I was under but I think she tried to wishbone me getting out that cervix!! (Which she couldn't and ended up splitting me above my belly button). It's really annoying and painful and I want it gone!

Re: 3 weeks post hysterectomy - uncomfortable legs?

Ibuprofen always makes my legs restless. (I took it in the past for menstrual cramps and always had to avoid taking it right before bedtime) . They prescribed me ibuprofen 800's for after surgery and I noticed the same effect - i'm off it now and legs are definitely improved (but still somewhat restless because of the reduced exercise)

Re: 3 weeks post hysterectomy - uncomfortable legs?

My legs have been bothering me 2. Restless leg syndrome. I had clots before in my legs so I'm worried about that but my legs aren't swollen so must be restless leg syndrome. It keeps me up . Sometimes i wear compression stockings to bed.
