Oh no-PMS????

For the past few days, my breast have been tender and swollen and I have not been in a great mood to put it mildly-
I have been craving sugar too...
it just occured to me that this is the PMS that the doctor said I may still have even though I had lavh....
I am also really warm and often feel that I am overheating and will spontaneously combust!!!
I wonder am I pmsing?
prior to the lavh I would become very teary eyed and a weeping willow( who ate a lot of chocolate) this grouchy thing is new...

Oh no-PMS????

The grouchy thing is not new to me, however, I had hoped that after my LAVH, that my PMS would no longer exist or at least improve. That has not been the case. I kept my ovaries so I guess I do still the hormal changes that occur each month. I'm really not liking myself these days. My family says that I have a permanent case of PMS and that I need an anger management class. They could be right. I am extremely irritable and even the slightest little thing sets me off. Hopefully this situation is going to improve.

It can take a bit of time after surgery before your body, hormones, and emotions all settle down. Major surgery does cause some trauma to your body and even though you have kept your ovaries, their blood supply is interrupted during a hyst.

I had some menopause symptoms for a few months after my hyst, mixed in with a bit of PMS! I can still have a hot flash now and then. And I have PMS some months and not other months. Keeps me on my toes!

Best wishes to you!
