strange dreams

Just curious if anyone else is having strange dreams. The other night I dreamt I was at a funeral. There were guests and we were standing grave site. It turned out to be a funeral for my uterus. OK, I know I sound like a nut. It freaked me out.

Re: strange dreams

I am also having strange dreams. I'm sure my messed up hormones aren't helping.

Re: strange dreams

I too have been having really strange dreams lately. Maybe its a combination of hormones and stress.

Re: strange dreams

{{{hugs}}} ladies.
I had all kinds of bad and strange dreams before surgery.
It's on your mind constantly so of course it's in your dreams too.
It gets better!

Re: strange dreams

Sounds like part of the natural grieving process... I take meds for sleep and rarely remember my dreams as a result, but I know that I have had more disturbed sleep for the last week or so. Makes sense...

Re: strange dreams

When I was still taking the Percoset I had wildly strange and extremely vivid- nothing I can decipher or interpret with any clarity but yeah, very strange dreams- still having dreams that are a little more disjointed/random and more vivid than pre-op but nothing like when I was on the narcotics and the first few days after I stopped

Re: strange dreams

My surgery is 2 days away and I, too, have been having crazy dreams! I have also been crying uncontrollably... Not sure why.. Just nerves, I'm sure. Good luck!

Re: strange dreams

Hey sisters,

Yep, dreams are normal, and will be after surgery for a while. All a mix of anixety, nerves etc and after surgery, your drugs will also be a reason! Im 8 weeks post op on Wednesday, and I dreamt I was an assisin last night - oo er lol...
@Hubbynwife, crying sweetie is SO normal. Anything and everything may set you off, trust me... and after surgery, you may find the same thing happening again.
So ladies in waiting, not long now, and you will be over the worst of it.. the waiting... and be with us here in Post op, passing on all your knowledge
Hugs and kisses to you all...
Loons xo

Re: strange dreams

If you are going through bouts of anxiety, it's just your higher self/subconscious processing what you're going through right now.

I love to analyze dreams and have read a lot about dream interpretation. I've had really strange dreams as well and all my dreams make sense based on the symbols. I was in an airplane but the airplane taxied down the street and dropped me off in front of a mall entrance (like a bus - it was funny!) which was far away from the airport. Then I had to run really fast to catch my plane and I realized I only had 10 minutes to make the flight and was running late and going to miss it. The running and worry about missing my flight symbolizes my fears and anxieties about my surgery which makes sense. An airplane represents new levels in one's life - a change (which also makes sense - a hysterectomy is a new level/dimension in my life). I'm still not sure what the airplane as a bus symbolizes and I do like to shop so maybe that's what the mall means ha!

My dreams on pain meds are going to be reallyyy interesting lol - the last time I took pain meds I had almost hallucinations. I had some veryyyyy bizarre dreams too. I rarely, if ever, take pain medication so the heavy duty ones really make me loopy.
