Getting away for the weekend

My family and I are headed to the mountains for the weekend to camp out and relax before my surgery. We'll get back Monday and my surgery is Wednesday. Whew! Turns out my church is organizing some meals for us so I won't have to worry too much about prepping food.

Gonna be so glad to just get away for a few days and mentally prepare.

That's a good idea. Relaxing before surgery is the right thing to do. Try to have fun with your family and get your mind off the upcoming surgery. My family went to a resort the weekend before my surgery and that helped me relax. Enjoy yourself. Have a nice glass of wine, if you drink. Once you have surgery you will not want to drink anything. I'm going to the movies this weekend with a friend. So excited. It's not much, but it's the little things that matter.

Thats such a nice idea, planning something special before surgery. it was something I never thought of. I'll have to talk to my husband and possibly plan something special too. Thanks for the great idea!
