3 weeks post hysterectomy - pelvic pain

I am not sure if anyone can help me or knows what's going on, but I had my hysterectomy 3 weeks ago and for the past 3 days my pelvic area hurts. Its a sharp heavy feeling. I had the same feeling before my surgery but it wasn't as bad. It was one of the reasons I had my surgery. I thought it was the pain from my adenomyosis. I saw my gyno yesterday and he said he wasn't sure what it was and that he didn't see anything dangerous when he did the ultra sound. He did see that I had a cyst on my ovaries now but he lightly touched it with the wand and it didn't hurt. Does anyone know what's going on or has had same experience?

Are you ovulating? Since you still have your ovaries you will still have PMS symptoms when you ovulate. Were these symptoms something you felt when you ovulated prior to your hysterectomy? When I ovulated I frequently had sharp pains...heaviness too, but I don't know if that was from ovulation.

I am glad you saw your gyn and that he did an ultrasound. I, too, get cysts on my ovaries and sometimes they hurt when pressed, but not always. I also understand that heaviness you were describing and understand why you would be curious about having that post-hyst. There is no answer I can offer you here about the heaviness, as I do not I believe I have ovulated since my hysterectomy. Time should indicate that I would've ovulated, but I think the Lupron prior to my hyst has messed with my ovulation timing. I will be curious what other posters who still have their ovaries have to say about the heaviness feeling.

Thank you for replying. I guess it is possible. I never thought of it but the pain I'm feeling is very much like what I felt right before, during and right after my period. I didn't think about the fact that I would still ovulate. Thank you for your help. I'm afraid that it may be scar tissue.

Re: 3 weeks post hysterectomy - pelvic pain

I'm having a similar experience. I'm almost 3 weeks post surgery and for the past 2 days toward the end of the day I have pressure in the pelvic area. I work at home and have only had to leave the house for meetings or short trips out every few days. I'm so frustrated. I also had adenmyosis. I kept my ovaries.

Wow how interesting! I went back to the doctor for a week follow up so he could see if I still had the pain (which I do) he still cant figure out whats going on because everything else looks good so he order a ct scan and i had that done yesterday. I was told I'd have results Tuesday. I will definitely let you know the results.
