Pain on left side when urinating ,4th week post-op

Hi Sisters ,

Am into my 4th week of post-op with all the usual ups and downs . I was doing quite week and about 2-3 days ago I noticed that every time I go to the washroom to pass urine my lower abdomen really hurts when I urinate a a little after am done . It's on the left at the beginning of my incision , however it does not feel like the incision itself is hurting , but something on the inside , has anyone experienced this . This same area also hurts at nights depending on what position am sleeping in or when am turning on bed . If anyone has experienced this or has any advise as to what this may be i'll be happy to hear from you .

It could be bladder spasms but it sounds more like a UTI. Please call your doctor and get tested for a UTI.

I am having the exact same problem. I had a LAVH 12 days ago. The only thing I have left is my left ovary. I just went to my dr yesterday and I don't have a uti. This pain is almost like a nerve that hurts when I urinate and afterwards for a little while. It hurts on my lower left side also. It's almost like I can feel something in that area and its just really uncomfortable. My OB just told me to keep resting. Good luck girl. I hope you get to feeling better. I wish I could just fast forward a month or two and skip this up and down mess!

As far out as I am I still have the same pains in the lower left side also but mine is before I pee and when I sleep I feel like it is pressure as my bladder gets more full
