When Will This Stop !!

Hello again ladies.
I haven't posted in awhile cause I've been feeling okay for what I've had done. I still get this stabbing pain in my abdominal area. It comes and goes but when it comes, I sure know it's there. It passes in about a half hour. Actually, takes my breath away. I'm on no pain meds. Doctor feels I shouldn't need them.(love these people who haven't had this done tell you how you should feel!). Anyway, I still have a discharge. Brown to rust colored. I have noticed a funny smell.(sorry for being gross). I usually can use 1 pantyliner a day but it has now increased to 3 per day. Occasionally, the color is pinkish. I have more now then after the surgery. The question is, is this normal too?? I hate to call the doctor cause everything is normal to them. I would rather you ladies tell me it's "normal" then the tell me it's "normal". Gosh, I'm beginning to hate that word. It may be "normal" but I don't feel "normal". Just wondering if the pain has something to do with the pink discharge?? Any advise would be appreciated. You guys have been great. It's nice to have that really care!!!! Hope everyone is well. Thanks again.
Love,
SNSHINE

When Will This Stop !!

The checkpoints on this website say that the dissolving of stitches can create a funny smell, although I personally have not noticed this, and my surgery was one day after yours. I would call your doctor and ask about this, including your increased discharge, just in case it's possible that you've developed an infection - especially since you are having significant pain. Some of us on this site have reported abdominal pain related to bowel function, but if this not what you are experiencing, then I would certainly call the doctor. That's what you pay him for! And if you aren't getting satisfaction, insist on an appointment. This is your body, and you have every right to do what is necessary to take care of it - including calling the doctor multiple times. Good luck to you!
