I'm getting a cold :-(

So sorry hon that he had to postpone,

I am also feeling the start of a sore throat, itchy eyes and a stuffy nose. The DH had it and told him I would make him pay dearly if he was to pass it on. Well, no luck, the threats did not work. Luckily the strain he has is just sinus related and I'm pretty sure that's what mine is as well. I go in on Friday for my pre-op and will check with the family Dr at that time. They did surgery on the Hubs yesterday despite his cold, so I'm thinking they will do mine as well. Wish me luck and hope they don't cancel! Yikes!

I had the beginnings of a cold last week and headed it off. I did take zycam dissolvable tablets and I also drank danactive to boost my immune system. I also drank lots of orange juice.
In 3 days I was feeling much better and no need to reschedule my surgery!

I went into the doctor for my pre-op Friday and she almost wouldn't approve my surgery for Wednesday because the cold had already caused a sinus infection! Ugh!! So, she started me on Azithromycin, which will be complete the day before the surgery. I started feeling better only three hours after I started taking the "Z-pack"! Yay! I have been off of cold medicine since then and just taking loads of water and zinc. She said if the cold doesn't start receding by Tuesday afternoon she wants me to call her, as she might want to cancel, but I think it will be fine. I am actually looking forward to this surgery, oddly enough. I think being so tired gets tiring.
