TVH 7 weeks post hysterectomy: Back to work - exhausted

Went back to work this Monday after 7 weeks and I am absolutely exhausted!! the insomnia I suffered from early on has gone away lol I just crash when it's bedtime until it's time to get up! my job only requires me to sit for 8 hours a day and I feel like I've done a physically hard job this week!! I encourage anyone who has has a hysterectomy to take off work as much as they possibly can because I am feeling so exhausted! thank God it's just a 4 day week!

It sounds like you will be sleeping soundly!!
This is something I am already worrying about!! I had my 2 week appointment today. I had robotic hyst/oophrectomy. I asked to go back to work at 4 weeks with 2 weeks where it could be partial days my descresion. Right as I will be returning to work my 2 boys will also be returning to football practice 4 nights a week! I know it will be exhausting to go from doing next to nothing all day to a 14 hr day! 😳

I actually think that the longer the time off, the harder it is to get back to regular activities.
That's why it is usually better to get more active when possible.
If you stay sedentary at home during your recovery, going back to work will hit you like a ton of brick!
