Out at work 2 weeks after hysterectomy

Just to let everyone know I had the full works i.e. the total abdominal hysterectomy. I kept my ovaries and tubes. The cervix and uterus are gone, and that big (*-_#^beep)was too huge to pass through anywhere but my belly. After the surgery I was 5.5 pounds lighter. I also had my appendix removed because the fibroids were resting on it and had inflamed it. Still I am feeling alright now especially thanks to a great surgeon - I have a teeney-weeney, itsy-bitsy, neat bikini scar stretching across the top of my vagina. Monday here , just 2 weeks and 3-4 days after surgery, I'll be back out at work because "I need the money".

I went back to work after 2 weeks because I own and operate a commercial embroidery business. I have a TAH-everything came out!! No work-no pay! I am on my feet all day, but not lifting anything heavy. I do notice a much more swelly belly in the evening, but no more back pain, cramps, bleeding! Just be in tune with your body and rest when needed! Take care!
