Back Pain

Had a TAH on March 26th and now home recovering. The surgery went well but I woke in recovery with extremely bad lower back pain. The MD seems to think it's from lying in bed for an extended period but since I woke up with the back pain and since it has not gone away after 5 days (most of the last few days I have been sitting up and trying to get up and walk every few hours) I really don't agree. I had an extremely large fibroid that was pressing on my right kidney and I think it may be related in some way to surgery. Has anyone else had this type of pain and if so can you give me some idea of how long it lasted and if you have any tips for eleviating the pain?

Back Pain

I am 2 1/2 weeks out and still have backache on and off but it is better than it was at first. Last night was the worst ...but I overdid it yesterday by trying to clean my bathroom and fold socks.

I found heat to help ease the discomfort.
