We're here for you
Hi Brook24,
I am so,so sorry this happened to you. I agree with every one that you need to talk to some one. I know you have probably shared this with your DH. But maybe some one who can personally relate to you. antianiexty medication helped me before surgery. I was so wound up I couldn't sleep. I hope you speak with your doc. He is your friend and he will want to do what you would feel comfortable doing.
s s and prayers to you.

Really hard question to ask (trigger/sexual)
Thank you all for the great advise and being so caring. I appreicate it more than you know. I have talked with a counselor about it, as well as a few other women who have gone through it too. I HATE THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well, one a lighter note, my obgyn can do it lap. but it's more $$ and we are paying for the surgery out of pocket. Which, may be worth holding off to get more $$ together, but I just can't. I am in so much pain. Been on vicodin for 6 months, doc took me off it yesterday and gave me the tylenol w/ codine, so that the drugs after surgery WILL BE AFFECTIVE. Thanks ladies! You are soooooo precious to me!

Best of luck to you, Brook.....I know you have seen a counselor, but are there nearby support groups to help you with all that is going on....sometimes it helps to sit with a group of others going thru similar experiences....most meet once a week and are free of charge..I know in my area there are support groups for every kind of trauma you can think of...might be worth looking into

Brook my thoghts and prayers are with you. I have been there too with triggers and flashbacks and I agree you need to talk to your doctor. Trixie is very right ... it however does not aleciate the pain it just helps to hunderstand it and diferentiate between something that is terrible and something that is supposed to be beautiful.... It took me understanding that before it could be beautiful for me... I wasted many years. The memories never go way but it was not my husband who did it to me and I had to reust him... It was not your doctor and you need to trust him to talk to him about it too. :
