3 weekspost op

3 weeks yesterday TVH. Decided today to get up and do more than I've been doing. Mopped floors and vacumed. Now I feel very sore and tired. Maybe not such a good idea, but I'm getting so tired of doing nothing!! I hope I feel better tomorrow and didn't over do it. One is for sure my house looks and smells better!

Re: 3 weekspost op

Sounds like you may have over did it a little bit. I had a TAH on August 31st...5 weeks post-op today. I was told not to vaccuum, mop or sweep for 4-6 weeks. I know it's hard to see your house looking a mess, but is cleaning it really worth risking your recovery? Proper rest today means a less chance of injury & unnecessary pain tomorrow. Please be careful and allow others to help out if possible. You deserve the break and a chance to heal properly & w/out any set backs.

Good luck on your continued recovery!!

I'm paying for all the cleaning yesterday!! Going to rest today, not even going to get out of my pj's.........Advice to those thinking they need to do what I did, don't or maybe not so much. The housework will still be there a few days down the road!!
