fistula

Has anyone ever had a fistula(tunnel or hole)form between the bladder and the vagina? Proper term "vesicovaginal fistula" If so after everything heals are you back to normal for the most part? Or do you have to worry about incontinence forever? Everyting from the hysterectomy went so well and 3 weeks into recovery I am hit with urinary incontinece. Because I was trying to figure out what to take for natural replacement I haven't gotten onto any HRT. This has been so hard trying to adjust to the hormone issues and then this issue. I only sleep for about 1 1/2 hours at a time and not sure which situation it is from. The "personal summers" are getting more frequent and sometimes I wake from them but they also happen during the day. Anyone have any advice?

As far as the rest of it, be sure and ask your doc and you might be able to do some internet research for some details before you can speak to her/him. Of course, sisters on here are probably far mroe familiar with it than me. I went through menopause before my surgery by a couple of years and didn't do any HRT. Personal summers are challenging at times, and the sleep thing is also a pain but I finally am doing better on both fronts. If that lack of sleep begins to affect your daily life I would encourage you to talk to a doc about it.
