Accidental Sabotage- Help Needed

Hi- I have had a long rough road to recovery from my full abdominal hysterctomy in July. I see I'm not alone in that area which is comforting. The problem is I was finally feeling better for 2 weeks now, even getting into jogging pants. Then this past weekend was my boyfriend's b-day party and I really overdid it. We were cleaning/ prepping non-stop and I was on my feet and lifting way more than I had since surgery. I have not done anything that strenuous since before surgery. To top it off we spent hours standing at a haunted thing. I had a feeling it was going to be too much but didn't want to disappoint and to be honest it felt great to be doing normal things again. I am beating myself up because ever since I have been in excrutiating pain in my abdomin. It's really sore, burning, extra swollen, and hard. I just started full-time again this week and the doctors couldn't figure out what was wrong before, so I feel hopeless. I cried for an hour when I got home last night and even to a co-worker today. Has anyone had this happen to them and have suggestions?

Re: Accidental Sabotage- Help Needed

Christa,
I am so sorry that you are in such pain... I am only 17 days post-op, so I am still in the initial hurting stage... but.. I have overdone it a few times already and spent the whole next day on the couch. It sounds like you are back to work, though, which makes it hard for you to spend the day on the couch.

If you are worried, you might want to call the dr.

please take it easy and keep healing!!!
