Re: 2 week post op appointment today

I have what looks like dissolving stitches. I sure hope they fade. One is high - right where my ribs end... That one is the most inflamed...

Re: 2 week post op appointment today

I had laproscopic, but had sutures. My sutures were removed yesterday (THANK GOODNESS!) and amazingly enough I was tortured with an internal. I had posterior and anterior repair as well as all the stitching up top at the cuff and he needed to check that because I am still having some bleeding.

I was wondering about your first repairs. I had those done on 12-11-12 along with TVT and partial hysterectomy- he left ovaries and cervix- how long did repairs last if you don't t mind sharing. I was hoping never to do this again.

The failure of my repairs was greatly due to my own stupidity. I don't recommend building rock walls and lifting boulders...I felt my sling rip. The posterior repair was very minor and at the perineum, just on the end of the first repair. I think with proper care they can last quite a long time, but the younger you are the chances of having it done again are. I'm only 34. But I will not be doing any more heavy lifting!

Thank you. I am 47. After laying around for 2 weeks I have made myself a promise-no heavy lifting or straining. I hope I keep it :-)
