I had my first period four months before my eleventh birthday. I will have my hysterectomy four months before my fifty third birthday.

I am with you all the way...i'm so happy with my new found freedom...i laugh when i pass the aisle with all the girlie things and no more period panties to deal with!! Congrats and best of luck with your surgery and recovery!

I hear ya lou914! I am home today with my "Happy Period" (most stupid ad campaign ever!). No more big panties, I didn't think about that! Good luck to everyone!

I'm with you! Can't wait for sure. I started just before my 10th birthday & will have my LAVH 4 months before my 37th. Still waiting on final date but should be in Sept.

surgery in one week. currently having my last period! I, too, began bleeding at 11 and now at 34 cannot wait to improve my quality of life and avoid the near-crippling complications I've had to deal with for over a decade! best wishes to all.

Started my period before my 13th birthday and having it done at 35 years old.

I cannot wait to see the difference in my life. I have never known anything but heavy bleeding, so this will be a big change.
