emotional crud ball

I am 14 weeks post-op and I feel like emotional doo doo. I just can't seem to keep it together. My patience level with other peoples bulls**t is at an all time low, especially if said people have testicles. Ever since the surgery and the lack of care I received after, I have very little compassion for thier "hard days". They being my husband, my father, my brother's in law, my husbands friends etc.
Babies every one of them. I'm walking around with a sore bloated tummy, 10 lbs of extra weight and no internal lady parts yet I still have to take care of thier whiny asses.
Sorry - just needed to vent......
I swear, if I didn't occasionally need help opening a jar I'd kick em' all to the curb and get a dog.

I know, I feel your pain....they just don't get it sometimes, do they!? Can you get some alone time? Take a weekend with a girlfriend?

Re: emotional crud ball

I wish I could be alone sometimes, just to cry it out and center without being accused of having a pity party, or victimizing myself, or being pathetic.
Truth is, I love my husband more than anything. I don't know what I would do without him, but he is an insensitive, egostistical, arrogant, self-important jerk sometimes.

Re: emotional crud ball

We ARE the stronger sex. I am just realizing this with this surgery. I have or am starting to, come to this acceptance. I know what you mean about taking time out for yourself. When I have ever had to do that in the past the people in my life (especially the ones with testacles, lol) act as if I need to take a "mental patient retreat" if you know what I mean.

I remember that I did take a weeks vaca this past summer at a good friend's summer home to "clear my head" of all of this surgery/pain/doctors and I didn't care what people thought, I just knew I needed it to regain strength. It helped me move on and be ready for the surgery. I could use a post op vaca now! And I don't care what anyone thinks.

Your post cracked me up!

Re: emotional crud ball

Truthfully, you should break down and cry right in front of them. It will set them back and make them realize they're dealing with a girl. Crying will get their attention to the fact that something serious is going on. And I bet you'll feel better.
