17 days and counting.....
Well the countdown is on and I am ready!! I am so tired of being tired and in pain. Was feeling a little anxious last week wondering if every thing was going to go as planned and driving myself nuts thinking the worst... but so far everything is going to plan. Except I just received my final present from Aunt Flo this morning!! Had a minor anxiety attack about it too when I realized this will probably be the last cycle I have for the rest of my life. Granted I already can't have anymore children, but I'm only 33 and just feel like I'm losing a big part of my womanhood!!! But if this will help me live a normal life again and be pain free finally I am READY!!!

Re: 17 days and counting.....
This mix of emotions is very normal. You are loosing your uterus, something that has made its presence known to you, for better or worse, for decades. And now that is being taken away from you. This is bound to cause emotional turmoil. The logical side of you understands that this is for a better life. The emotional side of you still has not caught up with this. That is okay.
Both sides will process this at different rates, and at different times. The important thing is to let each side express herself. Let your logical side get on and ask questions, and let your emotional side get on and talk about fears, emotions, freak outs, or whatever else you are experiencing. This will probably continue into your recovery....
And we will be here by your side to support you both before and after your surgery.
