How long in hospital???

Hi liw. I am scheduled for a LAVH-BSO on 6/15 and I was told by the pre-op nurse that I may be released the same day. Is this normal??? My doctor said I would be in overnight and I think I would almost prefer that.

Any comments???

I stayed two nights but I know it is different with different Dr.'s and such.

I didn't even get my cath removed until 5 the next morning. I'm also glad the kept me b/c I started throwing up around 6pm the first day.

Thank you for replying. I just talked to my doctor's office and they assured me I would be there at least one night. They were not pleased that the hospital nurse would tell me that - neither was I!

I was in the hospital 2 nights but I also had a TAH. Doc wanted me to stay a 3rd but I couldn't take it anymore so he let me go on "good behaviour" and a promise to do nothing at all at home!
