Spotting at 4 week is that ok?

This tuesday I became 4 weeks post op. Fortunately I go to my doctor for my first checkup after surgery. But I started on Tuesday to have spotting just when I wipe after going the bathroom. It comes and goes and not everytime. I started feeling really good and today I felt great when I woke up so I did more then I am used to but I am 4 weeks...should be able to just pick up laundry nothing major or heavy lifting.

But I just went the bathroom and its more and darker red not brown like it has been. I feel pretty good except for the normal back pain that I keep having but is it ok to have bleeding now? This would be the week I would have my period to and I did keep my ovaries. Plus my boobs aren't sore anymore which happens when my period starts.

Thanks ladies for your input...I try to google and get different answers.

Re: Spotting at 4 week is that ok?

Had the same problem the past week. Went in and the doc thought it was either a mini period since I too kept the ovaries or just still healing. She did cauterize with silver nitrate. It was already slowing down and light brown, so I am not sure which one it was. Hopefully (fingers crossed) it is done. Don't want to get my hopes up yet. Let me know if you find out anything too.

Re: Spotting at 4 week is that ok?

I spotted for 5 weeks after surgery. Had vaginal hysterectomy on 12th nov. It can be stitches dissolving or u just moving around too much. I wouldn't worry unless u filling a pad within an hour. U still need to take it easy. My spotting stopped completely after 5 weeks and didn't return until first time intercourse @ 6.5 weeks but it will just for seconds after intercourse
