Ut Oh, I'm getting nervous!!

Hi Sisters,
Now that I've worked through the majority of my problems, and the smoke has finally cleared, I am now focused on the castle date. It's getting so darn close. I can remember when it was months away but now it's only a 2 1/2 weeks away. Garsh, time sure flys.
I started reading my hystersisters book and got so nervous I had to put it down. I guess it was different when it was happening to everyone else, but now it's approaching my turn. I didnt' think I'd feel this way. I've always looked forward to this surgery, until now. Just nervous, but I'll get through it, just like I got through everything else.

Thanks so much for your kind words. It really does matter when another is going through the same thing, around the same time as I am.

Thanks for offering your support.

Me too!!

Actually, I am having a peaceful day today, but I do feel like time is short. I'm on 11/20 and that means 2 weeks from tomorrow.

Let's all try to focus on doing one nice (if small) thing for ourselves each day to help us get thru this time!!

As the princesses say, the waiting is the hardest part. We should believe them, they know.

Waiting!

I go on Dec 4, and so am also a LIW. I just got my date today; before this I was all ready to go, and now I'm still ready and I want to get it done with, but I am scared. Now it's "really" happening...

This board is my biggest support besides my mom. I'm single, so I just gots me, myself, and I (and my mom) to do this. Thank goodness for her and for you wonderful women.

Hi ladies! I am a new princess and just as one of you mentioned...the waiting is the hardest part of all! I could have scheduled mine within days of the doc telling me we were gonna do a TAH/BSO but instead I wanted to wait to go through one more nasty cycle so I could get all my ducks in a row. I was really calm until about 2 weeks before my castle date. I got cranky and all emotional and even commercials would make me cry. This site is wonderful for support before..during...and after. I was so scared the morning of my surgery that after they put in my IV..I asked if I could cry. I had a wonderful admitting nurse ... she was very sensitive to my fears. But all went wonderfully....I am now 13 days post op and am only taking ibuprofen about twice a day for pain. I still take it very very easy but try to get on my tread mill to walk in 5 minute increments about 3-4 times a day. Even though the pain is there after surgery...you really feel lots better..it is hard to explain. Good luck and a big big to you all!
