Re: Scared

I'm 48, was very nervous about the surgery. I told the pre op people that, they were kind enough to knock me out before I got to the operating room. The anxiety is actually worse than the surgery. I am 6 weeks post op and back at work, taking Advil for the aches. You will do great!

I am 4 days post op SAH. I am feeling really good. When I went to the hospital I was extremely nervous. When u talk to anesthesia person ask them to give u something for nerves. I started rolling down the hallway and started uncontrollable crying they put the drug in my IV I don't remember any of it.

Re: Scared

Hi,
You are not alone, I just posted the feeling nervous/scared about my TAH/BSO on June 7 after dealing with pelvic pain for 5 years. Now that my cysts have grown 10.4 on the left and 9.3on the right, my GYN said they had to come out along with the 5.3 cm fibroid. It's good to get the thoughts and feelings out to women who understand what we are going through.

I hope this makes you feel better and I wish you well through this entire process.
