Is anybody else getting "itchy" for real?

Is anybody else getting "itchy" for real? I had a tough night sleeping last night because everything, inside and outside is starting to itch. I'm hoping that means I'm healing but it kept me up much of the night trying not to scratch anything!

Re: Is anybody else getting "itchy" for real?

I was really itchy too and then i realized that I was having an allergic reaction to the pain meds I as taking, had to switch. You might want to talk to your doc.

itching is also a sign of healing.....but make sure you talk to your doc to rule out an allergic reaction to something.

I was really itchy. It can mean healing but also a yeast infection. Sooooo, be advised. Take care, C

Re: Is anybody else getting "itchy" for real?

ITCHY????????? Not the word for it....it's driving me nuts also. I have had three laproscopic surgeries before....nothing like this thouhg. I had a davinc in 11/18. I had an allergic reaction to the bandages they put on me...blistered and all the skin came off..just on my lower two inscisions though. So around thanksgiving started itching...then stared getting these red inflammed circles around my three top inscisions w/ about a six inch red streak going towards my left hip....instinct took over and I put in a call to the doc Sat...she put me on antibiotics...itching has slowed down a tad...but not much...and still all the redness around inscisions....they have me on vicoden....wouldn't think I would have a reaction...I am on them for my back/neck probs anyhow. I just hope we all get over being itchy soon.

Re: Is anybody else getting "itchy" for real?

Yes, I am very itchy - it keeps me up at night! Most of my itching is vaginal. I told my doc about it and he said it might be yeast... but then didn't check or give me anything for it! Can't buy anything over the counter because it breaks the nothing does in for six week rule. So frustrating. I'm going to call the doc again today and see what he will do for me.
