recovery report

Hi, I will be 3 weeks post tomorrow. I am doing very well, except still some vaginal discharge, generally very light and pinkish yellow. (I only need panty liners, changing once a day) Occasionally I have slightly more pinkish brown but mo more than a couple of drops. All, I have been told is normal, but I think I am just impatient and can't wait to skip past the Kotex isle in the store! I really feel good, no pain, just some pulling at the incision sites.
I have had a few hot flashes, Kind of don't think I can drink coffee anymore except early am, as that seems to trigger, (decaf or regular)
I had my post op check up and the Doc seemed pleased with my progress. I am going on vacation today, for 2 weeks. We have a condo on the gulf in Fla and I plan to do very little except sit on the beach and enjoy the sun and calming waves. I think it will do my emotional health wonders. Doc said I can get wet, just don't soak in the water, and still no baths until my next check up in 6 weeks.
Doc also said "I dodged a bullet" with this surgery as it was a pre cancerous condition so besides the bleeding and bloating it was good I had it.
I have been enjoying reading the blog and following everyone's progress. I really have been encouraged by it. To those of you who are having some issues, I wish you all well and hope you are on the mend. We will have computer access while at the condo, so be sure I will be following you.

I am glad I found your post since it seems it was not with the regular thread for our forum. I would love to be going to the beach but I am not cleared for water yet. I have a pool in my back yard which i can not use yet either. I am one who also loves to relax and recharge emotionally in a beach setting. I hope it does wonders for you and that you really enjoy your stay! Keep us posted on the post recovery thread and have fun!!
