What Is Happening To Me

It's been a little over three months since I had my Uterus removed. I had a really hard time with PMSing prior to surgery and I understood that surgery would only help my heavy flow and my cramping. This is a really bad bad month. My emotions are all over the place, I cannot control my feelings or my thoughts. I am fighting to be at work and to function at all. I feel like I am going to explode and I need to cry but I'm at work. This has been going on for the past week and this past weekend was my husbands birthday so I fought through it and put my best on the outside but I can't fight anymore, I'm exhausted. My entire body is aching and I have no energy, I feel like I need to sleep for about two weeks. What do I do? I am a very strong person but I feel so weak and vulnerable, that alone makes me feel frustrated and annoyed. There has got to be some help for me, God help me.

Re: What Is Happening To Me

I am so sorry you are feeling and experiencing so much after the surgery. Just remember you had major surgery and it takes a full year to recover from it. I had surgery back in August and I am just now getting back to normal on my energy levels. I would also go to your doctor about how you are feeling and get some test done. Maybe your hormone levels are not where they should be.

Re: What Is Happening To Me

I had a total hysterectomy and kept both ovaries. I totally went through the same thing . My ovaries are asleep from the operation. My doctor put me on estrogen and I'm fine now. Please call your doctor. I thought I was going crazy. I was shaking and crying.
I hope you feel better!

Re: What Is Happening To Me

Ladies, thank you so much for your comments. You feel instant relieve when you know there is someone that understands what you are going through. I called my Gynecologist on yesterday and I have an appointment this morning at 10:45a.m. I am going to have blood work and meet with her to explain what has been happening. Thank you again, I was told that this was an amazing website, and it's true. Much love to you all.

Good morning! Hang in there! Your body is still healing. Take it easy. I found aquatics therapy to be quite helpful, soothing and relaxing. The local parks and recreation offers various aquatics sessions including one designed for those recovering from surgery! Wishing you continued healing. Please know it's gets better with each passing day but remember to continue to take it easy and do not over exert yourself-easier said than done. Your body will let you know! By all means rest.
