Cyst on Ovary - Birth Control Pill

I am going nuts, completely nuts. They put me on the birth control pill for one month in hopes that it will settle the cyst they just found on my ovary down and with luck, it might even make it shrivel up and go away so they don't have to go back in there (crossing fingers). I couldn't handle the birth control pill as far as my moods before and even though since my surgery, my PMS is NOTHING like it was before (thank GOODNESS because it was really bad) - being on the pill now is really awful. I'm on Ortho Tricycolen (SP?) and I'm only have way through the middle (light blue) and I still have the dark blue to take - I feel like I'm crawling out of my skin. I almost had an attack driving my son to wrestling practice for no reason - I could just feel whatever it is building up inside. I am so irritable that I hate myself and I still have the stronger dose to go - I am going to HATE to see myself when I get to those pills. This is the worst experience I've ever had - for real and all because of some little tiny pills.

Has anyone else ever had to do this?????

I have never had a cyst before so I don't understand why now. I'm hoping this is just a one time thing - my body was adjusting and this is what happened. ???? Is this wishful thinking????

It is my understanding that the first set of pills (7) is the strongest and then they get lighter in doseage.The last set of pills in your pack are actually only reminders............atleast that's what I have heard.
I took BCP for 2 months for cysts and it did help them.Good luck!!!

Before my tah I was always on bc pills for cyst on my ovaries. I could never go off (except when I was trying to get pregnant and finally was pregnant) my pills. If I went off my pills the week I was suppose to have my period I would have cysts. So towards the end of everything I had to take a active bc pill every single day and had no cysts. If your dr. wants to keep you on them I took seasonalle and the side effects were minamal (sp). Good luck to you!!!
