worried..

Wow! I am going to go looking for an Iyengar yoga teacher. It sounds wonderful. I exercise 5-6 days a week and have been jogging for months and doing The FIRM videos for about 2 months now, too. I really like the feeling of strength in my arms and behind from all the exercise and that keeps me motivated. Yoga sounds great. Several years ago, I had a dental office assistant who showed me a great pose when I was at the dentist's one time that I use all the time now. It just alleviates the stress in my upper shoulders and neck. Going to amazon.com to try and find the book. Thanks for the tips!

worried..

Thank you noom and everyone else for your support.
I AM very interested in yoga, I need to do something.
My weight is out of control and interestingly enough, its all in my waist line.
I have not always been this way. As a child and a teenager, I was slim due to dancing from the ages of 5 to 17.
I got pregnant at 17 and since then I have been overweight. But I was always proportionate. My waistline was smaller than my hips and I was always big breasted at the height of 5 feet tall.
Only in the past 3 years have a gained this enormous amount of fat around my middle section and it hangs... its just ugly and makes me feel horrible. Like a freak or something.
I dont feel pretty and I have gained a social anxiety that keeps me home most of the time.
My endo just increased my thyroid medication today telling me that I need to take my medication with an empty stomach and not eat anything after that for about an hour in a half.
So I will follow his directions.
But with this weight, it is very difficult to do any kind of exercise. My right knee and ankle give out now just from walking. I am only 38 and I want to finally enjoy my life.
Sorry for sounding like such a drag. I dont mean to.
I just want to be happy in my own skin.

Hugs to all.....
