5 week post op appointment next Tuesday

Hi everyone, I had an LSH on Sept. 16, saw doctor one week later and going to appointment next tuesday which will be 5 weeks. I think this will be the appointment the doctor will look inside. Everyone keeps talking about it being 6 weeks postop for this appointment. Is it always 6 weeks or has anyone had postop appointment in 5 weeks?
I'm nervous about this appointment and I probably shouldn't be. I guess I'm worried about the exam being painful. Hopefully someone can help me feel less nervous.

Hi! Don't be nervous. You will be okay. From my experience and reading here, the "6 week" post-op check-up timeframe seems to depend on the doctor and probably the doctor's assessment of what the patient's needs are. I had post-op check at 2 weeks, then 7 weeks....go figure!

I had mine at 2 and 4 weeks, they did an exam at both. At 2 weeks it was a little uncomfortable but at 4 weeks it was fine

I had my LSH on the 16th too and had a 2week post op. no vaginal exam That was it but had to see Doctor again at around 3 weeks for bladder infection. They did at that time examine me vag and did not feel a thing. Don't worry you will be fine.

My final appointment was at 7 weeks & I too was worried about the internal exam.

It was slightly uncomfortable but that was probably me tensing up!

And, in a strange way, I was quite happy that the first thing up there was a speculum (sorry if that is TMI)

I had my 6 week check yesterday! (it was actually my 5 week, 3 day check..). It was FABULOUS and didn't hurt a bit! Got the all clear for LIFE again and let's just say, that went fabulous too!
