TVH premature sex...

So I'm just wondering what is the purpose of waiting 6 weeks to have sex. Infection? Chance of tearing? My husband and I were discussing it and I said I would ask.

Both. Having sex too soon can introduce foreign particles and bacteria to the wound and complicate healing. Vaginal and pelvic floor muscle contractions from orgasms and penetration could also cause tears and rip stitches.

Both of those, plus moving other things inside around too much and increasing blood flow too much, all in not yet healed internal areas. It goes beyond just the vaginal cuff. Sometimes it takes even longer than 6 wks to heal so that's approximate.
