Back in the hospital 1 week after hysterectomy

Had my hysterectomy on March 20th,first several days went really well. On day 5 post op I was pretty uncomfortable running a low grade fever (100 degrees), non specific pain in my belly. I tried to just tell myself I have had a major surgery and I need to rest, in hopes it would improve. Night before last, I could not sleep, I was sweating (no fever), terrible pain when passing gas, something was just not right. Went to the ER, and now I'm here in the hospital for a 3-4 day stay due to vagunal cuff infection,ovarian cyst,and pneumonia. I may need a drain placed,but have a lovely pump for pain meds and 3 types of antibiotics.So there it is. In all of this, I'm just thankful I came in when my gut told me to, thankful for my mom who flew in, thankful my kiddos are on spring break so no one has to shuttle them around. I'm just thankful.

I hope everyone is doing well. My doctor has assured me that what happened to me in not the norm (clearly), so I don't want to frighten anyone. I just want to stress the importance of listening to your body,and that being safe is better than being sorry
