Bra during hysterectomy?

This is a random question. Are you allowed to wear your bra during the surgery? I am scheduled for January 28th. Thanks!

No, you aren't. You'll have heart monitors on your chest while you are under anesthesia. You're allowed socks!

From what I've read, you'll be "draped" so you probably won't be real exposed (from my google searches anyway.). I'll find out tomorrow! ::

When I got to the hospital, I was told to take everyone off (including my socks and underwear) and put on a hospital gown. The prep nurse then put compression stockings on me.

I have no idea what went on during surgery, but when I woke up, I was still wearing the gown and stockings.

No bras because of monitors etc. Yes you will be draped, only what is being operated on is uncovered and sterilized. You will be treated with respect even if you are unconscious. If you just want one on when you get back to your room, I recommend a non wire, stretchy bra.
