Bath...question!!!

Hey gals! My paperwork said after 2 weeks post op I could take a hot bath....when I went to my 2 week which was Wed the 19th they said I still had some stitches on the vaginal cuff that were healing but I looked really good. I did not ask about the bath then so I called yesterday..21st and asked the nurse. She said yes it was fine. I questioned my fears of infections since I do still have some healing in there and she assured me that was ok and that most of the healing was done.

Anyone know for sure? I am still a little worried. I want to start taking a hot bath right before bed to see if that helps me sleep any.....

help!!

Bath...question!!!

I've been taking hot sitz baths ever since I got home to help with swelling per my docs orders. He just said not to use any soaps, etc.. while in the bath so I just soak in the tub till the water starts getting cool & then I stand up & take my shower. Go for it! It will make you feel so much better & relaxed!

Bath...question!!!

my doc cleared me right away for baths, actually he told me to take two baths a day (no bubbles or anything). he said that it was good for you and promoted healing. he did that with my c-sections as well, i never had any problems with it and i healed up quite fast. at three weeks he cleared me for everything except sex, told me to just listen to my body. but every dr is different so go by what yours says. happy healing
