cramp in side?

Hello ladies,
I am 2 weeks post-op today! I had a TVH.
I have had a cramp in my side for a week now. You know the kind you get when you drink a lot and then run or something.
I cant seem to get rid of it and my ob conviently is away.
Has anyone had this problem before?

cramp in side?

I had this same thing and it took about 4 weeks to recover from that little nasty, I think its the healing . Mine was the right side. My Dr seemed to think that was normal when i called him about it at 2 weeks. is it always cramping or do you get some hours without any?

cramp in side?

Hi
I had a TAH on 3/12 and my left side has ached ever since. I describe it EXACTLY as you did...and compare it to a runners cramp. I asked my doctor if he took more from the left side! Apparently, its quite normal and will go away in time.

I hope!

Let me know if you hear of any "cures"

Hope you feel better soon,
Barbara

cramp in side?

I had the cramping on my left side start last night, and it was worse this morning. Now it's gone, but after reading this I'm expecting it will be back! I waaaay overdid it yesterday, so today I have just been sitting with interspersed walking to the fridge for water and the potty. Thanks again for making me feel "normal" in my aches and pains.

This is very normal for what we have had done. Although we don't have an incision we had alot of cutting and sewing internally. The stitches will pull at tissue inside causing aches and pains as it heals. Don't worry, we'll all heal in time and be much better off than we were before!

cramp in side?

I too, have been suffering from this side pain. My dr. isn't concerned at all and tells me to remember I'm recovering from a major surgery. It kind of irritates me that he just tells me it will go away in 2-3 weeks! I have found that a heating pad sometimes helps. Good luck!

cramp in side?

I actually just asked my doctor this question today at my three week post op appointment. He said that the pain on my left side is normal part of the healing process and not to worry about it! Good luck!

Yes the bowel pain is also normal due to the swelling of all the organs from surgery. They put alot of gas in the abdomen in order to get to the uterus. My doctor says to continue to use a stool softener to help ease the pain during a bowel movement and brace your abdomen with your hands. She also says to be sure not to push or strain. Hope this helps you out.
