14 days left before hysterectomy, nervous and need advice

Hello,
So I am scheduled to have my hysterectomy on the 18th. While I am happy to finally be getting this done, I am also very nervous. My Dr. has made it an inpatient surgery and will be keeping me post-op for a couple days. I have quite a few complicating factors.
I need to know which products are absolutely necessary for recovery, such as the tummy binder and/or a body/belly pillow. I don't have a lot of money but want to purchase what I really need to not be in extreme pain. Any advice is welcome.

Ask you doctor if the hospital will be providing a binder. Some do, some don't. They may be able to get you one that way and save a little money.

Freezer meals are a huge help and can save you money. Plus, there are lots of excellent recipes here.
Loose clothes for wearing at first.
Paper plates so you don't have to worry too much about dishes.

Other than that I don't think there's anything absolutely necessary that you might not already have.

Thank you very much. I will call them today to find out. We are all stocked on paper plates already, and my hubby does the cooking (love him). Getting the house prepared, cleaned, and the place I will be recovering set up. Again, thanks for the advice.

Wait, I forgot two things.

Dulcolax and Gas-X. Those are essentials, but thankfully not too expensive.

My hubby is a little lazy when it comes to stacking and unstacking the dishwasher so this is a tip I will be using!

I've had a huge mug of water bedside/ chair side since I came home. Lip balm was also a must. I had such bad dry mouth and lips after surgery.
