LAVH Numbness on Tummy 8 days post hysterectomy

Hi ladies... I am 8 days post LAVH and they removed my uterus, tubes, and cervix. I am feeling pretty good aside from the rumbles in my tummy and since I am taking stool softeners the occasional quick jogs to the bathroom. My question is about an inch below my belly button and to the right side i have a numb spot now on my tummy. It feels kinda like your face after a novacane shot from the dentist. Has anyone else experienced this and if so will the feeling come back??

Most of my tummy is numb. The nerves may have been cut. You should slowly feel the spot wake up. My tummy is just starting to come around after 12 days.

Okay thanks... Was wondering if I was going to have a numb tummy from now on. 😀

Hey Susan,
I had my abdominal hysterectomy on July 6th and a good portion of my stomach is numb. I had a doctor in the hospital tell me it COULD come back but it could take a few years.
