Kegel exercises

I haven't seen this question anyplace yet...so I'll ask it here.

Is there any reason to be doing Kegel exercises more often SPECIFICALLY because I'm having a TAH-BSO in 3 weeks? I do them as often as I think of it, don't have any urinary problems, etc.... Has anyone heard of anything from their docs about Kegels now? (Kegels are those exercises for your perineum, where you tighten everything like you are trying to hold your urine, remember those?)

I can't think of any reason to do any more or less than usual pre-op. It wouldn't imagine it would make much difference, especially with a TAH. My DR said not to do any post-op until after my 6-week checkup.
