I feel like I am falling apart

I still don't have a surgery date yet. I saw the other surgeon yesterday who will do the cystocele and urethrocele repair. I didn't realize until I saw him that I was retaining urine. When he straight cathed me right after I went to the bathroom, I still had a lot of residual. I am so tired of all this pelvic pressure and pain. I even hurt in the back of my thighs and my rear end.

I can't wait to get this over with. They are going to do a TAH BSO with rectocele, urethrocele, and cystocele repair. My cervix/uterus is prolapsed. Both surgeons told me that it is stage III. I worry so much about going to the bathroom now, I am afraid that everything will go ahead and fall all the way out. I have endometriosis, and a history of ovarian cysts since I was 17. My mother and my Great Aunt had Ovarian Cancer, so while they are in there they are taking my ovaries too.

I know the recovery will be miserable, but the way I feel right now I will gladly trade it. I hope to hear something soon on the date of surgery.

You aren't rambling. This is the place to vent and get support. You are going through a lot and I hope you get a date soon! Once you get a date, let us know! We are all here for you!

Thanks Amber. I'm just so tired of feeling this way, and will be glad when it's over. How are you feeling since your surgery?

Feeling better today! Thanks for asking. Last week was a different story, LOL. But I take one day at a time and am thankful for a day of less pain.

I know that having my TAH was a decision that is going to lead to me living a pain free life and I am so looking forward to the future.

Keep us posted. It's interesting to read everyone's experiences of how alike and how different we all are. But one thing is for sure, we all understand one another and support each other.
