9 weeks post daVinci hysterectomy ... why do I still hurt?

Hi everyone,
I'm 9 1/2 weeks post-op, kept both ovaries. I am still so fatigued so easily that I'm having trouble working at a desk job and in the last week have been experiencing pain as if I still have a uterus! Cramping like I'm about to get my period, general internal achiness. Is this normal at this stage? I know a lot was done in there, but I really thought the healing would be further along by now. I'm getting frustrated, feeling like I'll never be back to "normal."

Re: 9 weeks PO DaVinci...why do I still hurt?

My doctor told me it takes a minimum of 12 weeks and up to a year to fully heal.

Maybe you are doing too much and your body is telling you to slow down.

Re: 9 weeks post daVinci hysterectomy ... why do I still hurt?

My Dr told me that at 6 weeks I would feel better but it would take a full year to be back to 100%. He was absolutely correct. 9 weeks isn't that far from surgery. You are defiantly still healing and will for awhile. Don't worry and rest when you need to.

Re: 9 weeks post daVinci hysterectomy ... why do I still hurt?

Thank you, ladies. It's hard when everyone in my life expects me to be back to normal, and I'm just not. I was told that I'd be feel so terrific at 6 weeks! I felt better, but not terrific. I'll try to be more patient and wait for the day I feel terrific.

Re: 9 weeks post daVinci hysterectomy ... why do I still hurt?

I am 6 weeks post-op and having lots of fatigue! The doctor I saw said fatigue could last awhile because there is still deeper internal healing going. I have read it can take 6-12 months to fully heal. I had that same cramping feeling a few days ago. It was a weird feeling!
