Near tears.

I am really depressed. I went last week to get my MRI so my surgeon could see where all my parts are no located(I've had 7 prior major abdominal surgeries) only to be told it was cancelled because I have too many metal clips in my pelvis, from all my surgeries! So now I have to wait till June 11 to get a transvaginal ultrasound, a regular ultrasound of my pelvis and also a CAT scan of the area. This way my doctor will know exactly what he can do for me surgery wise. My uterus was tacked to my small bowel in a prior surgery by some idiot! The question is if I can have a hysterectomy or if they will just be able to remove my cervix which is what is causing my problems. I have prolapse. Initially I was told I needed the surgery back in January and this just keeps being dragged out. Then today I went for my annual mammogram and they kept making me go back for additional X-rays and then I was told I need an ultrasound of my breast because there is a questionable area, but they cant get me in till Thursday! All this waiting is making me crazy and letting my imagination run wild. I think it will all be OK, but in the meantime I just want to cry. Thanks for letting me ramble, I am sorry it is so long, but had to get this all out.

You sound so frustrated! And you have every right! Cry all you want (it's good to get those emotions out). Hopefully the waiting will go quickly (June seems really far off, but it's practically May already--maybe they'll have an early cancellation?). I hope when everything's checked out they'll find they can do all the right things to make you feel better and be healthy! Best wishes!

I am so sorry you having all these problems.
How come you have to wait so long for the transvaginal ultrasound? I would definately bug them to get it earlier. My thoughts are with you. Think postive about the mamogram

{{{ Squid }}}

You've already been through so much, and now this

Hopefully, your doctor will be able to move things along so you can get those tests out of the way and you can move on to the next phase.

Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.

Oh, squid, I am so sorry to hear your news. Waiting is so stressful, so feel free to cry to us whenever you need it. As for the breast ultrasound, if you have cystic breasts or are still menstruating, the mammogram X-ray can be hard to read. I've often had to have follow-up ultrasounds, which have then shown everything was fine. The medical tools they have today are great, but they aren't perfect, and it's better to be cautious. I know it's easy for me to say, but I'm sure the ultrasound will be fine.

In the meantime, you will be in my thoughts.

Lots of hugs,
