Constipation Again

Ok, it is now 15 days post op, I had a TAH on August 5th. He tried vaginally for 45 minutes, and had to end up cutting to get out the fibroids, the position of them was apparently very bad.
Not too much pain, I came home after 3 nights in the hospital. Upon getting home I was terribly constipated! I got rid of the first bout of constipation, but it is back with a vengence. I eat fiber, I take stool softeners, I walk and walk and walk, I drink my fair share and then some of prune juice, I take Miralax twice daily, still NOTHING....any suggestions?
Also the incision site doesn't hurt, and is very clean, but my belly appears lumpy and bumpy in some areas and it is tender and hurts at times in one area which is very tender and sore....is it just time I need to heal???

Miralax twice daily?!?!?! Did you read the label? Girl you are crazy!
Ok seriously, I think you might have over done the miralax but maybe your body just doesn't need to go. On the other hand, if you have discomfort due to the constipation then I would suggestion to call the Dr office in the morning and tell them what you are doing and ask them what you can do. Find out about an enema.
Those tender and sore spots need time to heal. I even still get tender and sore spots. Now if you start to have pain well you know what to do.

and if all of the above fails, try take out from a Vietnamese restaurant.

I have IBS-irritable bowel syndrome-so when i had my LSH i was sure to get back to my fiber regime as soon as possible. I have Fiber One Honey Clusters for breakfast, 3 Fiber Choice chewable wafers, Fiber One Bars at lunch and sometime for snack, Fiber One crackers at lunch. I also put FiberSure in my drinks for first 3 days. In the past I have used bottle of magnesium citrate, available in stores amongst other items for constipation. Hope this helps

I am having really bad issues with the constapation it's crazy...I have tried everything....lately I am trying flaxseed.. so far nothing , but I want to give it a chance to work...If I dont take a lax, I dont go.... its awful... I am not sure why I am still having issues, I mentioned this to my Dr and he said give it time....agh.....
I think I may have nerve or muscle damage so I cant feel or push the stool out....sigh.... I am just gonna do what Dr said and wait and see, I am not ready to see yet another specialist to have more tests done, and drink any icky drinks....we will see... good luck in this department and hope this gets better soon for you....

I went though the constipation thing when I first came home, it took me 8 days to go. Then I was fine for awhile, then bam it hit me againaround 3 weeks and didn't want to go through that again and went out and got MILK OF MAGNESIA. Took as dircted with a full glass of water before I went to bed and the next morning I got up and drank a cup of coffee and went to the bathroom with in a hour after I woke up. Have you tried milk of magnesia yet. Hope you feeling better today.

Take 2 teaspoons of epsoms salt dissolve it in about 4 ounces of very warm water. Drink it as fast as you can cuz it tastes nasty. It works I went within 30 minutes of taking it. I took miralax it did absolutely nothing. I had such high hopes for it cuz it's so expensive.
