I'm home from the castle, finally able to use computer again

Hi everyone!

Thanks for all of your well wishes and prayers, surgery was a success

I came home on Mon Oct 11th, but because my computer is in my basement I wasn't able to get to the computer until today. I never relized how many stomach muscles you use to climb stairs!

I had a TAV and the cervix was also removed. After the surgery my dr said that besides the endo and some of the fiboids they knew I had, they found a golf ball sized fibroid behind my uterus that was pressing on my bladder and other organs. No wonder I was in so much pain.

Recovery is going well, I'm still taking many naps

To the princesses in waiting- I was really nervous about the surgery etc, but the surgery and the recovery has been easier than I thought it would be.
I had no pain from the catheter and was greatful that the first night after surgery I did not have to move from my bed.

I'll be sure to respond with any questions you may have and give you an idea of my experiences.

So glad you are doing well. I am going on Nov. 1 and am very nervous! I have found that my mind is constantly wandering. I am so forgetful, especially at work. I must admit I can't wait until this is over and I can resume a "normal" life pain free. Godd Luck with your continuing recovery and keep us ladies in waiting updated.

Welcome home! Now continue to be a good princess and remember your training: rest, drink lots of water, rest, take short walks around the house, and rest.

We’ll look for your castle story on the “Princesses Tell Their Stories” forum, and all further recovery updates on the PostOp forum.

Best wishes for a smooth, uneventful recovery.
