Mini-periods.......?

I had my Da Vinci Hysterectomy Feb 9, 2011. All was well, until last month I started spotting. Bright red blood. Then a little brown . Just spotting. This month, I had it happen twice. So it's like I am right back where I was. Only I don't have the heavy period. Is thius normal? I thought I was done with this.

Yes, it can be normal if you kept the cervix and ovaries. The cervix is the bottom portion of the uterus and thus can contain some endometrial lining. That lining can respond to the hormones produced by your ovaries, just as it did when you had the entire uterus, causing monthly mini periods.

If you do not have your cervix, it could be part of healing.

The others are right!!! Dr told me spotting possibly would continue if I kept cervix, I was really debating on keeping it or not until she told me that!!
