incision problems

I am 5 weeks post op after full hysterectomy, I have a lump (hard lump) growing under my incision. I am having an ultrasound done today to see what it is? What could it be?

My surgeon said he will need to take me back to op room to open incision and remove whatever this is.

Any ideas?

I had a LAVH on June 12th, and I seem to have a small lump under one of my incisions. I thought it may be how I was sowed up. I am curious to hear what happens with your ultrasound.

I also have a few hard lumps here and there some near my insicion and some near my internal suture by my belly button. I have my 4wk post in 2 days. When did you notice them? Could be a hematoma that built up under the insicion. Could be a seroma which is sort of the same thing except it is usually clear fluid where the hematoma is blood. Could also be a hernia or an infection. Many other woman have posted about lumps and them tuning out to be nothing or some scare tissue that goes away. Lets hope for the later. How big is the lump? From many of the post even with some of these other things some will resolve on their own. Im sure your surgeon knows best but be sure to ask questions and get answers.

HUGS to you!!
Keep us posted.

lump under incision

I am back from my ultrasound of the incicision, they found NO mass, no infection, no abscess, nothing, they can feel the lump from the outside though. So my doctor wants me to come in to his office tomorrow to talk about what to do next, so what could this mean? Do we just leave the lump and hope it goes away? As of Friday he was going to open me up and remove the lump but now that ultrasound shows nothing he has changed his mind, I am so confused.

I have also been hurting on my right side between my hip and ribs it has gotten steadily worse over the weeks, I cannot find a good position to sit on any chair, not sure how to explain it to the doctor but it feels like something is out of place or something.

I drove to my dr. apt today for the ultrasound and wanted to cry all the way, I have no idea why my right side is killing me.

So, Dianna, how did this turn out? I have just noticed a lump on the end of my incision (I'm 11 weeks post op) and am doing a search....hope you're ok.
